Job Description: Retail Store Manager
We are looking for an experienced Retail Store Manager to oversee the daily operations of Garden & Nursery store in Gurugram, Haryana. The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of experience in retail management, strong leadership skills, and a passion for plants, gardening, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Store Operations Management
- Oversee daily store activities, ensuring smooth operations.
- Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and product displays.
- Ensure stock levels are maintained and replenished as needed.
Sales & Customer Service
- Assist customers with plant selection, gardening tools, and other products.
- Provide expert advice on plant care, fertilizers, and pest control.
- Implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
Team Leadership & Training
- Manage, train, and motivate store staff to provide excellent customer service.
- Assign tasks and schedules to team members.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback.
Inventory & Vendor Management
- Track inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers for stock replenishment.
- Monitor product quality and ensure timely procurement of new stock.
- Manage relationships with local plant nurseries and gardening suppliers.
Marketing & Promotions
- Execute in-store promotions and seasonal offers.
- Collaborate with the marketing team for social media and offline advertising.
- Organize gardening workshops and customer engagement events.
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure compliance with company policies and retail regulations.
- Maintain a safe and pleasant shopping environment for customers and employees.
Key Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Retail Store Manager (preferably in gardening, nursery, or lifestyle retail).
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Knowledge of plants, gardening tools, fertilizers, and pest control products is a plus.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to handle inventory, sales reports, and vendor coordination.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and POS systems.
