Job Description: Factory Supervisor
We are seeking a Factory Supervisor to oversee and manage daily operations in Basai, Gurugram Haryana. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in production supervision, strong leadership skills, and knowledge of furniture assembly, and quality control.
Key Responsibilities:
Production Management
- Supervise the entire furniture production process, ensuring efficiency and quality.
- Allocate tasks to workers and monitor their performance.
- Ensure timely completion of orders as per production schedules.
Team Leadership & Supervision
- Manage a team of carpenters, machine operators, and helpers.
- Train and guide workers to improve productivity and workmanship.
- Enforce safety protocols and company policies.
Quality Control & Inspection
- Ensure all furniture products meet design specifications and quality standards.
- Identify defects and implement corrective measures.
- Conduct regular checks on raw materials and finished goods.
Inventory & Material Management
- Monitor stock levels of wood, hardware, and other materials.
- Coordinate with the procurement team for timely material replenishment.
- Prevent material wastage and ensure efficient resource utilization.
Machine & Equipment Maintenance
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of woodworking machines.
- Ensure all tools and machinery are in working condition.
- Schedule periodic maintenance to prevent breakdowns.
Health & Safety Compliance
- Ensure workers follow safety guidelines while using tools and machines.
- Implement safety measures to prevent accidents and hazards.
- Conduct regular safety training sessions for workers.
Key Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in furniture manufacturing or woodworking industry.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Knowledge of woodworking techniques, machinery, and furniture assembly.
- Understanding of quality control standards and production processes.
- Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints.
- Basic knowledge of inventory management and cost control.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
