Job Description: Accounts Executive

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Executive to join finance team of manufacturing unit based in Village Kablana, Jhajjar, Haryana. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling daily accounting operations, ensuring the accurate recording of financial transactions, managing accounts payable and receivable, and assisting with month-end closing processes. This role is vital for maintaining the financial integrity of the manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Accounting Operations:

Process and maintain day-to-day financial transactions, including sales, purchase, expenses, and payroll.

Prepare journal entries, post entries to the general ledger, and reconcile accounts.

Assist with monthly and year-end financial reporting and closing.

 

2. Accounts Payable & Receivable:

Manage and monitor accounts payable and receivable to ensure timely payments and collections.

Prepare payment schedules and ensure all invoices are accurately processed.

Follow up on overdue payments and resolve discrepancies or issues related to invoices.

 

3. Bank Reconciliation:

Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accurate reflection of cash transactions.

Maintain accurate records of cash flows.

 

4. Cost Management:

Track and analyze manufacturing costs and assist in cost control measures.

Coordinate with production teams to ensure accurate cost reporting for raw materials, labor, and overhead costs.

 

5. Tax & Compliance:

Assist in the preparation and filing of VAT, TDS, GST returns, and other statutory compliance requirements.

Ensure adherence to company policies and accounting standards.

 

6. Reporting:

Prepare regular financial reports for management, including balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and cash flow statements.

Provide insights and recommendations for financial improvements.

 

7. Audit & Internal Controls:

Assist in internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

Implement effective internal controls to safeguard company assets.

 

8. Additional Duties:

Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.

Collaborate with other departments (e.g., production, HR) for seamless financial operations.

Handle any ad-hoc accounting tasks as assigned by the Finance Manager.

Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. (CPA, CA, or equivalent certifications are a plus)

Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a manufacturing or similar industry.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, Busy, or similar).

Strong knowledge of MS Excel for financial analysis and reporting.

Knowledge: Understanding of manufacturing cost accounting, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.

Skills:

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

 

Desirable Skills:

Knowledge of GST, VAT, and other local taxes related to the manufacturing industry.

Analytical mindset with a problem-solving attitude.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
