Requirements

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Production Engineering, or a relevant technical field.
• Minimum 6 years of experience as a Production Supervisor in the automobile or automotive manufacturing industry.
• Strong knowledge of production planning, manufacturing processes, and shop floor management.
• Experience in handling production workers, assigning duties, and monitoring workforce productivity.
• Knowledge of quality control procedures, inspection methods, and defect prevention.
• Ability to achieve daily production targets while maintaining quality standards.
• Understanding of workplace safety procedures, 5S practices, and lean manufacturing principles.
• Good problem-solving, team management, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to coordinate with quality, maintenance, stores, and other departments to ensure uninterrupted production.
• Willingness to work in a manufacturing plant environment and manage production-related challenges efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily production activities and ensure smooth operations on the manufacturing shop floor.
• Plan, organize, and monitor production activities to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly production targets.
• Manage manpower allocation, shift activities, and workforce performance to maximize productivity.
• Monitor production output, machine utilization, material consumption, and operational efficiency.
• Ensure that products are manufactured according to prescribed quality standards and specifications.
• Identify production issues, minimize rejection and rework, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Coordinate with the quality control team to maintain product quality and reduce manufacturing defects.
• Work closely with the maintenance team to minimize machine downtime and ensure equipment availability.
• Maintain production records, shift reports, downtime reports, and other relevant manufacturing documentation.
• Implement 5S, workplace safety practices, and continuous improvement initiatives on the shop floor.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and safety guidelines.
• Train, guide, and motivate production workers to improve efficiency, discipline, and performance.
• Monitor raw material availability and coordinate with relevant departments to prevent production delays.
• Report production performance, operational challenges, and improvement opportunities to the Production Manager.
• Drive continuous improvement in productivity, cost control, process efficiency, and overall manufacturing performance.
